This was a lovely read, it's so exciting to get to know all these bits of your music's history that, in a way, make it more meaningful. Especially the name. I love that view of a "flower arranger". It's great to see the early tapes too. All of it got a big smile on my face.
PS: I'm the person who gave you the painting in Barcelona, you and Felix were so kind. Florist has been a great inspiration for painting since I started, most of the time I paint to your music :)
Thanks Emily for sharing the History behind this little universe you guys created with songs. I discovered Florist only 6 months ago but somehow it felt like it was the only band i was waiting for... Your coming show in Lille, France, will be a gift ! See you there, and thanks a lot for all the emotions you bring through music.
Love reading about these early days...I remember discovering Florist opening for Mutual Benefit at Mercury Lounge and being instantly captivated. Hope to make the drive to Storm King, I'll be looking out for more details. Bring on Pt. 2!
Happy Birthday Florist (pt.1), thoughts on ephemera and iph0nes, a love letter to listeners
